Yuri Dmitrievich and Consul General of Turkey in Odessa Ms. Nur Sagman and Vice-Consul of the Republic of Turkey in Odessa Melih Demirash visited the Gagauz villages in the south of the Odessa region. They visited local recreation centers and schools, where Turkish guests got acquainted with the culture, traditions and history of the Gagauz people. For example, in the Kotlovina village of Reni district, in honor of Ms. Nur Sagman there was organized a small presentation of local folk groups.
Just in two-day visit Yuri Dimchoglo and Nur Sagman visited Izmail and Bolgrad city.
In the city of Izmail the delegation was met by Mayor Andrey Vyacheslavovich Abramchenko and his first deputy Abashev Rodion Anatolyevich. Guests had a tour in the diorama “Storming the fortress of Izmail” and the Historical Museum of named after A.V. Suvorov.
In the city of Bolgrad Yuri Dimchoglo and Ms. Consul General were met by the head of the Bolgrad district administration Mikhail Sadaklievym, chairman of Bolgrad District Council Maria Gaydarzhi and the Secretary of Bolgrad city council Vera Nikolaenko. During the meeting there were discussed aspects of cultural and economic cooperation area with the regions of Turkey.
Ms. Nur Sagman and Mr. Melih Demirash were very pleased with the trip, which was organized for them byYuri Dmitrievich (which also accompanied them), and also expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome of fraternal Gagauz villages residents and leadership of Bolgrad District and Izmail City Council.
