On 18-19 July 2013 member of the Odessa Regional Council Yuri Dmitrievich Dimchoglo together with the head of the Gagauz autonomy (Bashkan) Mikhail Formuzal visited the Greek region of Thrace Kastoria, densely populated with Greece Gagauz, with number about 30 000 people.

During the visit, meetings were held with the Mayor of Kastoria, Mr. Dimitri Muzas, as well as with the Gagauz community organizations in the area of Kastoria.
