Ukrainian deputy Anton Cisse together with the deputies of the Odessa Regional Council Dimchoglo Yuri and Maria Popova made a working visit to the southern regions of the Republic of Moldova on 14 February 2014.
In the morning, deputies visited Moldova Taraclia district, where they held a meeting with the leadership of Taraclia region, as well as the Taraclia mayor where most of the population is ethnic Bulgarians.
Together with the hosts, the guests took part in the festivities for the celebration of the day of Trifon Zarezan – patron’s winegrowers.


In the afternoon, the delegation visited the Gagauz R.Moldova autonomy which began with a visit to the ethnographic museum. Beshalma of Comrat district is one of the best museums that tell the history of the Bessarabian colonists.

After visiting the museum delegation arrived in the capital of Moldova ATU Gagauzia in Comrat. They held a meeting with the head (Bashkan) of Gagauzia Mikhail Formuzal and Chairman of the People’s Assembly Dmitry Konstantinov.
During the meetings, the Odessa Regional Council deputy Yuri Dimchoglo requested the leadership of Gagauzia establish relations with Ukraine Gagauz village’s Gagauzia settlements as sisters.

After official meetings the Ukrainian delegation visited Comrat State University and broadcasting company Gagauzia, where they recorded a video program about the development of relations between the Bessarabian regions of Ukraine and Moldova.
