Odessa Philharmonic Hall. Revolutionary music project “Bach. Reboot”

March 16, 2014 the Odessa Philharmonic held long-awaited event – “Bach. Reboot”. This is a unique and revolutionary project of two outstanding musicians of our time – Ukrainian pianist Alexei Botvinov and Turkish percussionist Burhan Ochala. Odessa Regional Council deputy Yuri Dmitrievich Dimchoglo participated in the organization of this musical event.

“Bach. Reboot”- a unique project that has no analogues in the world music space. At its heart – the cult of Bach “Goldberg Variations” in a new, original interpretation, in conjunction with east ethnic rhythms. Project “Bach.Reboot” is the sensational masterpiece combining European civilization with ancient rhythms of Sufi traditions, proves a high spiritual level, the possibility and necessity of cooperation of the West and the East.
The concert is part of a world tour and has already been presented with great success in Istanbul, Moscow, Paris, Zurich, Basel, Kiev and the Montreux Jazz Festival. Alexei Botvinov – Honored Artist of Ukraine, laureate of international Rachmaninoff Bach and Shuman competitions. He played in 43 countries. He is known not only as one of the world’s finest contemporary interpreters of Rachmaninoff, but also as the only artist who has played on the stage of “Goldberg Variations” by Bach more than 280 times.
Burhan Ochal is recognized as the best oriental percussionist whose complex and delicate rhythms give new meaning to the well-known classic masterpieces. For many years, he was performed all over the world, both in the genre of folk and ethnic music and jazz with the Stars (Joe Zawinul), pop (Sting), classics (Maria Joao Pires, Fazil Say). Appeared in films.
