The Day of the National Flag was celebrated on Saturday, August 23. Yuri Dmitrievich Dimchoglo attended a Ukrainian flag raising ceremony in the Bolgrad town, Odessa region. He congratulated the citizens and residents of the area with this symbolic holiday and wished faith in a brighter future, hope and optimism, just on the eve of Independence Day Yuri Dimchoglo urged to be steadfast and united to overcome difficulties for the development of a thriving holistic state of Ukraine in the future.

Just on 08.23.2014 Yuri Dmitrievich visited the village of Red Tarutino district, where he and the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Cisse Anton Ivanovich, was invited to the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the village. Yuri Dimchoglo congratulated the residents of the village and gave them the performance of the Ukrainian-Gagauz singer Natalie Denise (Natalia Nechevaya). On the same day, Yuri Dmitrievich had time to visit the villages Plavni and Orlovka of Reni district and congratulate citizens with National Flag Day and Independence Day, as well as the Plavni villagers with the Day of the village.

On 24.08.2014, Yuri Dimchoglo visited the village Older Trojans of Kiliyskiy area where celebrations were held in honor of Independence Day of Ukraine combined with the annual celebration of the Day of the village.
