June 10, 2014 – a unique day for Ukrainian Bessarabia. South of Odessa region was visited by the former Deputy Prime Minister, presidential candidate and deputy of Ukraine Sergey Leonidovich Tigipko. Together with MPs Cisse Anton and Svetlana Fabricant they visited Izmail, Reni and Bolgrad District of Odessa region. The delegation was accompanied by deputies of Ukraine Odessa Regional Council deputy Yuri Dimchoglo.
During his visit, Tihipko visited Izmail and Reni Shipyard Sea Trade Port. There was held a meeting with residents of the Reni district in the Reni House of Culture and just arrived in Bolgrad, talked to Bolgrad citizens and residents of the area. Bessarabians shared their immediate problems with MPs in turn Tigipko promised to promote such a beautiful region of Bessarabia.
Sergey Leonidovich visited Bolgrad Saviour Cathedral Preobrazhensky and laid flowers at the monument to the Bessarabian, the Bulgarian volunteers killed in the Russian-Turkish wars.
