On Thursday of 07.08.2014, deputies of the Odessa Regional Council Dimchoglo Yuri Dmitrievich and Popova Maria Fedorovna took part in the television show “Phone for All”, which was held live in the studio of Odessa Regional State TV and Radio Company. The TV debates participants also included Malinkova Nadezhda Dmitrievna – chief editor of the Odessa Regional State TV and Radio Company, Gagauz by nationality and Euromaidan activist – Todor Panofsky. The topic of discussion was the so-called separatism in Bessarabia.
During the hot debates Yuri Dimchoglo and Maria Popova managed to defend the honor and dignity of the Gagauz and Bessarabian Bulgarians as patriots of Ukraine, as hard-working people that honors the integrity of the state. They convinced the Euromaidan activist that multinational Bessarabian edge stands for the unity and prosperity of Ukraine. As a result of this conversation Todor Panofsky apologized to the Gagauz and Bulgarians Bolgrad District, for what had previously accused them of separatism.
